All free toolsAI TIME-SAVINGS CALCULATOR

Will this AI workflow actually save time?

Compare your current task with an AI-assisted version, including preparation, review, rework and maintenance. Use a measured pilot to replace the assumptions.

Count the whole task

Saving drafting time is useful only if preparation and checking do not consume it. Keep output quality comparable. This model estimates hands-on time, not payroll savings, tool costs or revenue. A task can save time and still be unsuitable to automate.

Use the same task volume in both scenarios; a weekly average can be fractional.

Current total hands-on time for a comparable finished task.

Prompting, preparing inputs and handling outputs. Include waiting only when it blocks your work.

Verification and approval on every run; keep extra rework separate.

Your estimated share from 0 to 100. Replace it with measured pilot data.

Additional correction time beyond the review already counted.

Ongoing upkeep, monitoring and exceptions not counted per run.

Initial design, setup and testing; used for time payback.

Enter your numbers. Blank is missing; enter 0 when appropriate. Inputs are not saved or sent.

How the calculation works

Assisted weekly minutes = runs × (preparation + review + rework share × extra rework) + weekly maintenance. Net time saved = manual weekly minutes minus assisted weekly minutes. Setup time payback = setup minutes divided by positive weekly time saved.
