All free toolsPRODUCT RESEARCH SCORECARD

Compare ideas using the evidence you have.

Compare two product ideas, record the gaps and leave with a research brief. This is an evidence inventory, not a sales forecast.

Separate evidence from enthusiasm

For each question choose Unknown, Early signal or Direct evidence. Direct evidence can be unfavorable; record what it actually shows. The count measures how much you have investigated, not how good the product is. There is no automatic winner.

This tool does not run AI or inspect your store. Inputs stay in this page and reset on reload. Download your brief to keep it. Use non-sensitive research summaries.

Product idea 1

Can you describe a specific buyer and a real problem, using customer conversations?

What have relevant buyers actually done? Record the offer, price, audience, dates and counts.

What useful difference can you demonstrate against the alternatives?

Have you modeled product, fulfillment, payment, shipping, returns and acquisition costs?

Have you inspected a sample and verified lead times, stock, quality and delivery?

What relevant audience can you reach, at what effort or cost, and with what observed response?

Examples: unacceptable quality, unworkable contribution, inability to deliver or unresolved product requirements.

Use AI to organize, then check the sources

Gather your research → ask AI to group evidence and identify gaps → check each claim against the source → choose one test → record what happened. AI-generated customer opinions are not customer evidence.
